Are you able to operate safely during the COVID-19 crisis?

We are taking every precaution we can during this time when social distancing is critical to stop the spread of the virus.  Many of you are currently working at home and do not have the time to provide the level of exercise your pup needs, which is where we can continue to step in.     Specifically, we will always wear a mask at your home and we have an ample supply of hand santizer which is utilized prior to each pickup and drop-off.  In addition, we always use our own leashes and bags which limits the spread of germs from common surfaces.   If you are working from home, we are happy to notify you once we arrive for pickup to prevent us entering your residence if you would like to limit the number of visitors you have.   If you are a new client, we can schedule a virtual meet and greet via Facetime or Skype.   If you or a member of your household are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, please let us know and we will work with you on a specific plan of action for your dog's care.   We are continuing to monitor the situation closely and will advise on any changes to our services here.  Please contact us if you have any questions!

What is your inclement weather policy?

We will always put your dog’s safety first, so if it is too dangerous to venture out (e.g. heavy rain, dangerously hot or cold, snow, etc.), then walks/playgroups will be cancelled.  When possible, playgroups will be moved indoors.

Question 3

Can you explain your prices for the hike and playgroup?

Accepted Answer

Yes!   We charge $33 per service if your doggo is regularly scheduled for 2 or more outings per week.      We charge $36 for drop-ins, which we classify as a pup who we have met and is eligible to join The Pack but has no set confirmed schedule with us.

What is your holiday schedule?

We are closed on the following days: New Year's Day (January 1) Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (Third Monday in January) Presidents’ Day (Third Monday in February) Memorial Day (Last Monday in May) Independence Day (July 4) Labor Day (First Monday in September) Columbus Day (Second Monday in October) Veterans Day (November 11) Thanksgiving Day (Fourth Thursday in November) and the day after Thanksgiving Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and the day after Christmas However, should you still need service on these days, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate!

How many dogs are part of the pack for the walk and playgroup?

We keep our packs small, so usually anywhere from 2-4 dogs.

What is your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

We ask that you cancel your walk or playgroup booking by 8pm the evening before your reservation to avoid a $25.00 cancellation fee.  We ask for one week of notice prior to cancelling any boarding reservations to avoid a $75.00 cancellation fee. We try to be as flexible as possible, but these timelines will ensure other pups on the waiting list get an opportunity to play!

Do you accept same day requests?

We will try our best to accommodate same day requests,  but it will depend on how many dogs are booked on our schedule that day.

What is your service area?

For walks and playgroup, we service most parts of Arlington County.  If you are not in Arlington but are closeby, feel free to contact us to see if we can make your location work!

Will my dog have the same caretaker each time?

Accepted Answer

Yes!  One of the benefits of working with a small business is our ability to ensure that your pup is paired with the same care provider for their Pack experiences. In creating this continuity, we can build trust with both you and your doggo.

Will my dog be off leash?

Accepted Answer

Your dog will never be off their leash during the nature hike, but will be off leash at the enclosed dog park for playgroup.

Question 13

What requirements must my dog meet in order to become a pack member?

Accepted Answer

Your dog must be over 6 months old, spayed or neutered, and up to date on all vaccinations in order to join The Pack.  In addition, your dog must have a properly fit harness.

Are you insured?

Yes, we are insured by Pet Care Insurance through Lloyd's of London.

Since The Pack by Daisy is a sole proprietorship, what happens if you are unable to provide care for my dog?"

Great question!  While we make every effort to honor our commitment to you and your pooch, in the event of an emergency or severe illness, we would be happy to recommend a service that can provide coverage in a pinch.  And thank you for helping to support your local small business owner!
